Mobile Messaging Terms

How Gaëlle uses SMS, how users opt in, and the disclosures we provide. This page is the canonical reference for our A2P 10DLC campaign.

1. Program purpose

Program name: Gaëlle Marketplace Assistant

Purpose: Gaëlle is an AI marketplace assistant. Users text a photo of an item to Gaëlle’s number, and Gaëlle replies with a link to a ready-to-post listing for eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist, and/or an estimate of the item’s market value.

Gaëlle is reply-only. Every outbound SMS is a direct reply to a message a user sent us. We do not send marketing, promotional, scheduled, or bulk messages of any kind.

2. How users opt in

There are exactly two ways a user opts in to receive SMS from Gaëlle. Both require an affirmative action by the user; we do not import contact lists, scrape numbers, or initiate messages to anyone who has not opted in.

2a. Webform opt-in

The user visits our website, enters their full name and phone number, and checks a single consent box that reads, verbatim:

By checking this box you agree to receive Transactional SMS from Gaëlle in reply to messages you send. Gaëlle only replies — we never initiate texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out.

The form also displays links to this page (Mobile Messaging Terms), the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Service before the user submits.

2b. SMS keyword opt-in

The user texts the phrase Hi Gaelle to +1 (934) 942-3553. Gaëlle replies with a one-time welcome message confirming the opt-in and disclosing terms.

3. Sample messages

3a. Welcome auto-reply (after first inbound message)

Welcome to Gaëlle. We only reply to messages you send. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

3b. Acknowledgment (after a user sends a photo)

Thanks! Give me a minute. Gaëlle

3c. AI reply (when the link is ready)

Gaëlle: You have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive messages from Gaëlle. Reply START to resubscribe.

4. Reply-only messaging

Gaëlle only replies to messages users send. Every outbound SMS is a direct reply to an inbound message. Gaëlle does not initiate text messages and does not send recurring, scheduled, or campaign-based messages.

5. Opt-out and help

Reply STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT at any time to opt out. Your number is added to our suppression list immediately.

Message and data rates may apply. Gaëlle does not charge for messages, but your mobile carrier may.
Supported carriers: all major U.S. wireless carriers (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and their MVNOs). Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Privacy

Phone numbers and SMS content are used solely to operate the Gaëlle messaging program and are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
